Player Spotlight- A’ja Wilson & Angel Reese
A’ja Wilson scored 28 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the Las Vegas Aces 104-85 thumping of the Los Angeles Sparks. The 28 points pushed the two-time League MVP into the all-time leading scorer at 4,301 points, just ahead of Sophia Young-Malcolm’s 4300.
Wilson also leads the league in scoring, putting up 27.0 ppg.
Angel Reese scored 17 points and pulled down 14 rebounds in the Chicago Sky’s 84-71 loss to the Seattle Storm. Though it came in a losing effort, the performance marked her 13th consecutive double, breaking the tie she previously held with WNBA legend Candace Parker. On the season, Reese, the favorite for Rookie of the Year, is averaging 14.1 points and 11.9 rebounds per game.
